Truman Sweeps the Miners to Start the Homestand
Both Truman State basketball teams jumped out to big early leads and cruised to a sweep of Missouri S&T Thursday night at Pershing Arena.
The Bulldog women started with a 17-3 burst and beat the Lady Miners 87-71. In the second quarter, Truman used the three-ball to extend the lead to 25 points….

Dean has led Truman to the first 4-0 start in conference play in the history of the program. The Bulldogs improve to 8-3. The S&T women drop to 5-6 and 1-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
After giving up an early three, the Truman men scored 20 points in a row on their way to an 86-60 victory over the Miners…..
Hunter Strait connected on five three-pointers and led the Bulldogs with 18, while Brodric Thomas and Cade McKnight both scored 17. Coach Jeff Horner said he got some help in getting his offense jump-started….
Horner’s Bulldogs improve to 7-5 and 3-1 in the GLVC. S&T drops to 3-7 and 1-3 in the conference. The Truman homestand continues when Maryville visits on Saturday. You can hear the game on Superstation KRES starting at 12:45.
