The Randolph County Health Department has announced that of the 131 people that took part in the drive-through COVID-19 testing last week, 130 tests came back negative and one is pending. Four people needed to be re-tested; three have completed testing and were negative. They are still trying to reach the final person, but have been unable to make contact with them. Of the 130 tests that have returned, all were negative. While the RCHD is very pleased with the results of the community testing, they would like to remind everyone that COVID-19 is still out there and to continue practicing social distancing when possible, washing your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, to cover your cough and sneeze, wear a mask if social distancing cannot be maintained, and to stay at home and away from others if you are sick.
