Slater_ Murphy Named Lady Hounds Assistants



MACC women's basketball head coach Rashekii Howard has made her final two additions this offseason, with the announcement of her new assistants. One is familiar with several players on next season's roster, and the other is a familiar name to Lady Hounds fans.

Terrance Slater will be the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator. He most recently coached the Chicago Express, the AAU team that featured future Lady Hounds Lauren McKinnis, Shaquala Armstrong, Tahsha Mitchell, and Ashley Stevenson. Howard says Slater will enhance MACC's recruiting efforts in the Chicago area, and help in another way off the court...

While Slater is new to Moberly, Dee Dee Murphy has already enjoyed some success on the floor at MACC. She went 58-10 during her two years playing under current Truman State coach Michael Smith, and the Lady Hounds finished 7th in the country in 2005. Coach Howard says she hopes that Murphy can fill her new role, like one of the men's assistant coaches did last season...
