STURGEON WELCOMES MADISON FOR LATE SEASON DOUBLE HEADER

Madison will travel to Sturgeon tonight to take on a hot pair of Bulldogs teams. On the boys’ side, the Bulldogs come in having won six of their last seven games, and head coach Michael Smith said the good play has come from the season-long work his players have put in.

While Sturgeon is riding high right now, its opponent comes in having won five of its last seven. The Panthers are led by junior Jimmy Layton, who averages 17 points per game. Madison head coach Jacob Youse explains what Layton brings to the team.

On the girls side, the Lady Panthers come in ranked ninth in Class one, led by the dynamic duo of sophomore Biance Stocks and junior Keleigh Bennett.The Lady Panthers come into the game with only five losses on the season, and Youse praises his star guards ahead of the matchup.

For Sturgeon, the Lady Dogs come in having won five in a row and 10 of their last 11. They will be looking to get back at Madison after a 59-56 loss to the Lady Panthers back on December 15th.
