A Columbia man faces charges of resisting arrest, tampering with a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, and distribution of a controlled substance, following his arrest Wednesday. Around 5:10pm, Boone County deputies were trying to find 44-year-old Shawn Ingram of Columbia when they saw him flee into a wooded area near the 2100 block of Sycamore Hills Rd. He was arrested a short time later. Bond on those charges is $18,500.
Ingram also had active warrants for receiving stolen property and resisting arrest, with bond on those charges of $15,000. Also at the residence on Sycamore Hills Road, deputies found 52-year-old Gerald Summers with a significant amount of methamphetamine on him. He was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Boone County Detention Center, with bond set at $4,500.
